Our wedding was perfect! When Brian and I got engaged, we did not have the first idea about planning a wedding. So we started out with a list of the things most important to us. On our priority list, we had 1. great photos…I am crazy about my photo collection, and knew that great photos would be a top priority 2. family…being able to enjoy our family & spend time together (not just a couple of whirlwind hours) 3. beautiful setting…we wanted a place that was scenic & relaxing; a low stress wedding was really important to both of us 4. affordable…we paid for the wedding ourselves, and couldn't afford an overly lavish event, but still wanted to host a great party for our family & friends.
We originally found you on the internet, about a year before our wedding. Because things aren't always as they appear online, we immediately made the trip to Asheville . We were so excited to see that Sleepy Hollow is just as charming & full of character as it appears on your website. The grounds and house are all very well maintained and beautifully decorated. The weekend of our wedding could not have been more relaxing. I heard so many stories from other people about stressful weddings, but ours was a delight…Thanks to all of your hard work & planning. You had an overall schedule in mind, but you were accommodating & flexible to our special requests. Our families were able to stay in the main house, relax & visit with one another. The rehearsal dinner was booked from your recommendation, and could not have been more delicious. The groom's cake was outstanding (and inexpensive!) The reception meal was outstanding. Every detail was attended to, and the entire weekend transitioned smoothly!!
If there were any pre-wedding problems, I did not know about them. I was able to get ready for the wedding in a spacious, comfortable setting in the carriage house, with all my girls with me. The boys were able to hang out & get ready together in the main house. It was relaxing and fun for all of us. The entire wedding was seamless, and everything fell into place.
Since we were from out of town, and I was nervous about all of the plans coming together, I probably drove you crazy with emails over the course of the ‘planning' year before the wedding. You were always quick to respond with helpful information, and patiently put my mind at ease. The wedding packages you have created are well thought out, and the vendors that you suggest all work together perfectly! I could not have chosen better people…In fact, the only minor issues we had were with the florist, and that is my fault for choosing one outside of your recommended list. Everyone was friendly, down to earth, & accommodating. It is evident that you have the wedding experience down to a science!!
The pictures were fantastic!! If a regular picture is worth a thousand words, yours are worth a million. I love the different angles, and photojournalistic style. And there were tons of photos; which is exactly what I wanted! Please feel free to use any of them; we are proud of how nicely they turned out. The cost for our wedding package was reasonable, our families were able to relax & enjoy our wedding for the entire weekend, and we were all in a beautiful setting. A+ to you in meeting all of our criteria, and for all of your hard work and planning to make our wedding perfect!

I would like to first start by saying thank you, thank you, thank you for such a beautiful wedding. It is hard to believe that you guys have not been doing this for decades. You are so wonderful at everything that you do. The ceremony, reception, flowers, cake, pictures, video, and the overall presentation of our special day was absolutely first class, not to mention stress-free. Our friends and family said that our wedding was the best wedding that they had ever been to. It saddens me to write this e-mail because I feel like I will no longer have a reason to browse your website and imagine my wedding day. All I have left are the wonderful memories which you all have created and made possible. Thank you for everything and best of luck to all of you. We will see you soon. Please do not hesitate to give my information to potential brides and grooms.

As a side note: For any brides and grooms considering the possibility of hosting their wedding at Sleepy Hollow, do not hire an outside photographer. Danrae is a master photographer and will provide you with an abundance of beautiful photos.

THANK YOU for the best experience of our lives. We apologize if this is ten pages long, but our gratitude is just that big!
Our wedding was more like a vacation than anything we've ever experienced as a couple.
Sleepy Hollow B&B was the perfect wedding site for us. We had been engaged since Feb 2009, but had not set a date. We looked at several other options, but non were quite right. We visited early November to check out the place, and fell in love. you happened to have New Years Eve open, and though it was only 7 weeks away, we looked at each other and decided to go for it! Why not? The package was extremely reasonably priced and included the wedding coordinator, photographer, videographer, DJ, caterer, cake, decorations, reception site, and 2-nights stay at the Inn for our entire family! There was no better way to bring our 2 families together, who had never met! It was a way for us to give our families a mini-vacation with us. We were also able to give a New Years Eve celebration for all of our family and for our friends!
When we think of our wedding, we can do nothing but smile and think of awesome memories.
Danielle and Laura coordinated everything via e-mail, due to short notice, and she covered EVERYTHING! The wedding and reception were thoroughly and perfectly done. Danielle is EXTREMELY talented at what she does. She pays attention to every detail, including helping with our little pug in the wedding and bustling Laura's dress! She made sure we ate before anyone, and that we (and everyone else!) knew exactly where to go and what to do during the ceremony and the reception (thank you, Danielle!). The caterer was set up, she handled the discussion between the florist (who was amazing, by the way!), and DJ (see below!), as us; she handled the cake; she handled every small detail that we could think of- from table decorations, to aisle and table preparations, to rehearsal, to getting everyone set the day of; we don't know how people do this without a coordinator! Danielle is an awesome person and has true skill.
Dean the DJ was AMAZING. He was absolutely perfect and we can not thank him enough for all that he did for us. He talked to us several times before our wedding; we felt confident that we were in good hands. It went even BETTER than we imagined, and we hired him for 6 1/2 hours! He listened to all of our requests, got the ENTIRE crowd involved and dancing like nothing we've seen before.Laura's 87 year old grandmother even got out there and danced! :)Every age from every generation was smiling and having an unforgettable celebration; we've gotten so many compliments from everyone present during our wedding reception. Thank you, Dean!
The set up at the Sleepy Hollow B&B is PERFECT. (we know we use perfect a lot, but it's the best descriptor- we have no negative comments AT ALL!) Laura stayed in the Carriage House with some of her girlfriends the night before the wedding. It was a blast and she and Bobby were able to go the entire day of the wedding without seeing eachother. She was able to get ready there, while the boys got ready inside the B&B. Bobby was able to spend quality time with his close friends and family for the entire 2 days.
Danrae and Clayton are the BEST couple ever and they know exactly what they're doing and how to throw a party! They made us feel so at home. They made sure everything was perfect for our stay, that our breakfast was made, and that the ice was scraped off the walk-ways. Clayton and Clint are excellent bartenders and Danrae is the BEST photographer that we've ever seen! not to mention, that they are some of the most down-to-earth, genuine people, who truly care about others, taht we've ever met!
We looked at several photographers before coming to Sleepy Hollow. They all quoted us thousands of dollars for the exact same picture package and for less quality than Danrae's ability and package! She went ABOVE AND BEYOND. She got pictures from the entire day, and from the entire wedding and reception. She got people to pose, along with taking several "natural" pictures. She caught everything. She also got us our DVD of pictures and this amazing and very well put together photo album for us to keep, and all within 2 weeks! If we'd brought ANY other photographer, to get even close to the quality, we would have paid thousands and thousands more. (Thank you, Danrae!)
Dianna, the videographer, and Bob- her assistant, did a fantasic job too. They caught everything, and wwere also some of the nicest people we've met. They mailed us copies of the DVD to share with family, and even decorated the cds with a picture of Laura's bouquet and lyrics to a song they chose during their ceremony! WOW- what attention to detail!
The most touching part of the entire stay for Laura was the fact that her daddy, who is disabled, had easy access to everything. He stayed on the bottom level, with her mom and 2 dogs (did we mention that they have a BIG fenced-in backyard for dogs to happily stay and enjoy?? It was perfect for dog-lovers!!!). Her dad was able to rest and relax, and get prepared to walk his little girl down the aisle (and dance with her!). She had not seen her daddy this well in 3 years. He was able to relax, not strain, and have the most enjoyable vacation he'd had in years. Her family was beaming with joy. The accommodations could NOT have been better.
When we left, the day after the wedding, we stayed in another Bed & breakfast that was much more expensive and not even CLOSE to the quality or good time that we experienced at Sleepy Hollow. We were very sad to leave! We truly miss Sleepy Hollow B&B, and we will forever be grateful to all of you who helped put together the PERFECT wedding.
We remember everything, and always will. Everyone who attended will remember it as one of the best New Years Eves of their lives (that's what they tell us!).
THANK YOU to the amazing crew that you have there, and for TRULY caring for the people that stay there. We didn't feel we were jsut a number, or another couple. We felt taken care of, in the best possible way. Laura's best friend, who was there, said that she is planning to have her wedding there, when she gets engaged. There were more smiles, good memories, and happy times at that wedding and ceremony than many of us had experienced in our lives.
We were able to enjoy our union together, in a stress-free environment, surrounded by family and close friends- to help us always remember what life is truly about.
This would not have been possible without all of you at Sleepy Hollow. We will happily vouch for you all for life, because we could not have had a better experience. Not many people are able to say this about their wedding days. We feel blessed and are truly grateful to God for bringing us to you.
